The journalist, Giovanna Alvarado, from the NITRO publication from Peru, has joined the Women’s World Car of the Year.

Graduated in Communication Sciences, her passion for cars led her to specialise in motor journalism. Of great relevance in her country, she has been the only Peruvian journalist to attend the Latin NCAP (New Vehicle Assessment Program for Latin America and the Caribbean) and TÜV SÜD, both based in Germany, on automobile safety specialisation workshops. She is also an important influencer in everything related to Peruvian motorsports.

The Nitro publication, where Giovanna Alvarado performs her duties, was first published in 2008. Initially aimed towards the Peruvian public, it is currently widely-known internationally thanks to the interactive hybrid digital platform digital.nitro.pe

“Offering my driving experiences to car fans is the most rewarding part of my job as a motor journalist. It is very motivating to know that many people value our opinions before buying a car”, says Giovanna.

In Peru, the growth figures for the automotive sector in 2019 have surpassed those of other countries of the Pacific Alliance, with an increase of 2.4% compared to the previous year.
