Frankfurt Motor Show Award Presentation

Several judges from around the world were present at the IAA International Motor Show in Frankfurt, Germany, to present trophies to the winning car companies in the 2011 Women’s World Car of the Year. This year the supreme title was won by both the Citroen DS3 and the BMW 5 Series in a dead heat.

The judges present were Renuka Kirpilani of India, Henny Hemmes from The Netherlands, Charlene Clarke from South Africa, LouAnn Hammond from the USA and the chief judge, and founder of the WW COTY, Sandy Myhre from New Zealand

The trophies and certificates were presented to:
Mr. Ian Robertson, Board member responsible for Sales and Marketing for the BMW Group AG
Mr Frederic Banzet, Managing Director, and Mrs. Anouk van Vliet, International Coordination and Communications Manager, for the Citroën brand at PSA Peugeot Citroën SA

The certificates were presented to:
Dr. Ulrich Bez, President and CEO of Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd,
Mr. Frank van Meel, Head of strategy Emobility at Audi AG.
Mr. Stefan Jacobi, President and CEO Volvo Car Corp AB.

This year’s two identical trophies are designed and manufactured in India.  Last year´s winning trophy was designed and made in South Africa
