Susan Sun – China
Susan Sun is the Editor–in–Chief and publisher of the Auto Club magazine in China.
In addition she is recognised as the member of Youth Union CPC Central Committee, a director of the China National Automotive Journalist Association, a judge in the China Automotive News Awards, and President of the Chinese Universities Alliance.
Susan graduated from the Central University for Nationalities in 1988, majoring in Media and Mass Communication. She has 20 years experience in the automotive media winning a myriad of awards and other recognitions ranging from the industry to national awards.
She was appointed by China Automotive News in 1999 (an affiliate of the People’s Daily) and started Auto Club magazine with RMB 1,000,000 and achieving profit within the first year. She further established a co–operation with Motor Trend in the USA which reinforces Auto Club’s leading position in China.
Susan Sun has created what is considered a miracle within the Chinese periodical industry and with which she is considered an automotive media legend. Indeed, for her outstanding efforts, she was granted an award from the Chinese Periodical Industry.
Moreover, she has been invited as a lecturer of chief editors of the General Administration of Press and Publication of the People’s Republic of China (GAPP).
